Big news for the 2015 edition: the event will be officially approved by UISP (Italian Union of Sports) and open to everybody. Furthermore, we will try to make a donation, buying a defibrillator for the Municipality of Gozzano. Moreover, two weekends are included in the calendar to facilitate the participation of those who have to work in that period. There will also be facilities to give a free place to sleep for those who run the whole series of ten marathons. Every evening we will try to organize a trip ort an event to have fun all together. To eat, you will find a lot of conventions with the nearby restaurants and hotels.

Orta Lake’s 10 Marathons in 10 Days
Each Marathon will start at 9:00 am, from Saturday 1st through Monday 10th.
REGULATIONS

Mr. Paolo Gino, member and President of the Supermarathon Club Italia, organises a series of 10 consecutive non-competitive marathons to be run in 10 days on the Orta Lake at Lido di Gozzano, Novara province, from 1st to 10th August. This is a private event, open to everybody, male and female, who must be 18 on race day. There will be separate rankings for men and for women, issued daily for each marathon.
START AND FINISH FROM LIDO DI GOZZANO, NOVARA PROVINCE, ITALY
Time limit: 7,00 hours.
Route: on asphalt and dirt roads.
Requirements for entrance: the event is open to everybody, male and female, who must be 18 on race day.
How to enter: Phone Mr Paolo Gino at least one day prior to the race, preferably from 7 to 12 pm (mobile: +39 340 4525911).
Entrance Fee: €25,00 for one marathon; €150,00 for ten marathons. The fee must be paid cash before the start of each race, from 8:00 to 8:45 am; for those who take part in the whole series, payment must be effected in one solution on Day One. The fee includes: health insurance, timing and rankings, refreshments and spongings, medical assistance with ambulance, shuttles for retired athletes, warm showers at Lido di Gozzano, entrance to Lido di Gozzano (deck chairs and sunbeds are not free for use and are to be paid separately), a medal for each marathon, a little trophy for the finishers of all the 10in10 marathons. No complimentary kit is included.
Changing Rooms: the athletes may use those assigned to them at Lido di Gozzano.
Hygenic Services: they will be available at the start/finish line and at km 7 and 23.
Cloakroom: the bags will be kept inside the changing rooms. Do not leave any valuables in your bags. The organization will not be held responsible for any theft or loss.
Start: it will be given at 9:00 am from Lido di Gozzano, each day, from 1st to 10th August, and will be preceded by a short briefing. No anticipated start will be permitted. No athlete will be allowed to start without a bib number.
Services on the course: refreshments (water, salts, solid food), sponging (using the sponge you will be given before the start), health assistance, ambulance, shuttle for retired athletes, manual timing at the turning points (km 10 and 30) and at the Lido (km 0, 20, 40, 42,195). The course will be open to the traffic, so it is necessary to comply to the traffic laws.
Security: it will be granted by the Municipal Police of the towns of Gozzano, San Maurizio d’Opaglio and Pella. The athletes must follow the signals and respect traffic laws.
Bibs: the bib is strictly personal, it must not be exchanged with that of other runners, and must be visible at all times. No part of it (logos, numbers or other signs) may be hidden, or the athlete will be disqualified. Those who run the whole series will be given only one bib number, to be used in all the races.
Timing and Rankings: timing will be manual and rankings will be issued every day and posted on the following website: www.clubsupermarathon.it . They will also be posted on a board at the start line the day after the race.
Time limit: 7:00 hours.
Retired athletes: they will be taken on board of a shuttle at km 10 and 30 and, whenever possible, taken back to the start/finish line. Retired athletes must hand in their bibs to the staff on the shuttles.
Parking: at Lido di Gozzano
Privacy: according to the Italian law dealing with privacy, personal data will be used only to draw the list of participants and the rankings.
Final notices: the Organization has the right to modify any part of the present regulation at any time due to force majeure. Any change in services, places or times will be communicated on www.clubsupermarathon.it. The races will take place in all weather conditions. Nobody who has not regularly entered the competition or who is not in possession of the necessary requirements will be allowed to participate in the event. Do not leave your litter around! Sponges, plastic cups and bottles must be thrown in the bins provided. Leave the Lake as clean and wonderful as you found it. Thank you!

HOW TO GET THERE. By car: from Milan follow Motorway A8, then take the A26 to Alessandria, then continue in the direction of Gravellona Toce. Take the exit for Arona. Turn in the direction of Borgomanero, at the third roundabout follow the indications for Gozzano, Lago d’Orta.
By train: from Novara take the Novara-Domodossola line and get off at Gozzano ralway station, which is 3,5 km far from the start (no taxi service).
By plane: The nearest airport is Milan Malpensa, about 40 km south of the Orta Lake. Here you can rent a car to reach Gozzano. There is NO DIRECT BUS SERVICE. The only available service is BUS STN at platform 12 of Terminal 1 with the following timetable: 8.05 – 10.00 – 12.00 – 15.05 – 16.00 – 17.00 – 20.05 – 21.05. This bus will take you to Novara bus station, where it is necessary to take an Autoservizi Comazzi bus for Gozzano or a train from Novara to Gozzano. COURSE: thecourse has been re-measured and re-traced in order to obtain a 10,54875-km long circuit, corresponding to one fourth of a marathon. This new course will also border the Pella Lake, for a total of two laps corresponding exactly to two half marathons. This new course has been certified by a qualified Surveyor an Engineer, who have drawn up a new measurement report.
PASTA PARTY: it will be offered to all participants at the cost of €5,00, starting from 3:00 pm.
T-SHIRTS: white polo shirts with the Club logo and a smaller logo of the event will be on sale at the cost of €10. The athletes who finish the whole series of ten marathons will be awarded a free polo.

ORTA LAKE NAVIGATION: There are no boats leaving from Lido. To visits the islands of San Giulio and Orta, take a boat from Lagna, at 5 km, from San Filiberto, 6 km, from Pella, 7,3 km and from Ronco, 10 km of the marathon course. www.navigazionelagodorta.it/it/orari_e_tariffe.php
CAMPING: Parking area with 15 places for campers at km 6 of the Marathon, on the Orta Lake, at the outskirts of the town. With hygienic services, payment required. There is also a slide for boats and a small sandy beach.
